Getting There

Millwater is super-easy to get to from all parts of Auckland City, with its own dedicated exit from the Northern Motorway (Exit 396). For those heading in from the north, Exit 394 onto Grand Drive is almost as convenient. Exiting the motorway at either exit will have you just a few minutes from the venue.

Parking
Metro Park includes a large dedicated car park which is open to all on race day and can accommodate around 200 vehicles, although it is likely to be full soon after 6am. There is a lot of additional parking on the road side and on gravel opposite the Millwater shops. All that aside, most people will find parking in the surrounding streets and you should not have to walk more than 5-10 minutes to get to the venue proper.

Important! Auckland Transport parking officials specifically target events such as hours for enforcement. Do not think, "hey, it's a Sunday morning, no one will be bothered". Yes they will and they will ticket or even remove vehicles incorrectly parked. Don't ruin a great day out by parking where you should not or exceeding the permitted time. Do NOT park across resident’s driveways - this is a 100% guaranteed trip to the towie's yard.

Public Transport

Unfortunately, the frequency of public transport services in Auckland on a Sunday morning is not all it could be. Although there are bus services in the area which can get you pretty close to the venue, recent indications are that the first service in the morning would not be suitable for those in the half marathon or 10k
