HARCOURTS COOPER & CO HIBISCUS HALF MARATHON
The Hibiscus Half Marathon is a new event in the 2026/27 Auckland Half Marathon Series - but it still has a back story. The event is a huge upgrade on what was previously known as Run Orewa, which first took place in 2021. Now finding its place in the calendar as a major new half marathon event, the Hibiscus Half Marathon will demonstrate what Hib coasters have known for a long time ... this is an awesome place to run. The event will showcase the two main running locations in the area - the Te Ara Tahuna walkway and the Orewa beachfront. Neither will disappoint!

BEAUTIFUL HIBISCUS COAST
The Hibiscus Coast is one of the most appealing parts of Auckland, known for its relaxed coastal lifestyle, beautiful white-sand beaches, and easy access to both nature and city conveniences. Stretching from Orewa to the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, the area offers excellent swimming, surfing, boating, and scenic coastal walks, with standout spots like Shakespear Regional Park providing panoramic ocean views, native wildlife, and peaceful hiking trails. The Hibiscus Half Marathon is Race Two of the seven-event Auckland Half Marathon Series. A finish here can keep you on track for a season-long goal, the pursuit of the AHMS Grand Slam Medal & Halo. Not only that, but points accrued here will be vital in chasing your best ever finish in the AHMS Series Points race.
